I've been thinking a lot this season about giving and receiving. I've done a lot of receiving lately, mostly for myself and I wanted to try to be more mindful of my actions and have a more giving heart.
If you see these items and fall in love with them, then by all means, get them, even if they are for yourself. I won't judge you.
I've got a few writers in mind while I researched this and hope you will think these ideas are great too!
So now, without further ado, I give to you glad tidings and my list of the most awesome writing gifts I would totally want for myself and think someone out there would love them too.
Pick this wonderful cup up now either for yourself or a writer you know. Isn't is so cute and I know I have a tendency to write in things like it says.
I personally used this thesaurus while working on my Novel Damaged. I can't tell you how much it helped me to show emotions more so than tell it.
If you long to write more emotionally, I mean causing tear jerking reactions, please take a read and see what I mean.
Every so often I long to write on paper, with a smooth gel pen gliding on the paper beneath my fingers. And this my friends is such a beautiful color. I want to grab it up now and fill it up with the words brimming in my mind.
Sometimes you just gotta...you know what I mean?
Don't you just long to feel that smoothness beneath your fingers as the words in your heart pour out.
So I've read this one and if you need some inspiration, or maybe a pick me up, then you have got to read this book.
If you're struggling right now, if you've written something but are afraid to pusblish it, then you should read this.
And, you should publish you writing right now. If you take the time, pour our your heart into your words, then the world should see it, because you know what....not everyone does this. You are a writer!
To the bloggers out there...this mug is so freaking awesome!
I think I might have to get one for myself.
I just love me some coffee, though lately I've been trying to cut back on caffeine...I know I know, crazy right? But I've been going for some tea mixed with a little stevia and almond milk....it's just so good.
I mean, I can barely write unless I have this or some coffee so this is practically a must for any writer on your list.
Which brings me to my last item for today...something I've read which has helped me so much. A book which has helped bridge the gap between pantsing a novel and outlining it.
Are your ready for it?
So this my friends, has been such a lifesaver. Such needed information in a time where I didn't know what to do with myself.
I was stuck, writing endless circles and feared...yes feared an outline.
But don't worry, it's not like what you've learned in English class.
No.
It's different...powerful...a way to free yourself from doubt and write your way to freedom.
I hope there is something in here that can help you with your struggle. Because my friends, I know it's real. I deal with it every day.
But think of the smile on the person's face when they wake up on Christmas morning and open one of these meaningful and thoughtful gifts. They will adore you forever.
Seriously! I'm gonna make sure my husband reads this post and has some hints to what he might get me for Christmas this year.
If you've got the perfect gift for the writer in your life, let me know and HIT REPLY now!
